Heaven or hell?

This question has a very simple answer to a lot of people in the world! A lot of people, if not all, choose heaven, why?

My answer to this question is simple too, I choose hell! My answer is based in the idea of, what do you do in heaven? In heaven you can drink orange juice, fly, have some wings in your back and have a peaceful life. Is this good? If you can choose hell, where there is alcohol, women, a warmer place, and you can do whatever you want.

I want this, party every day!

Queima das Fitas V.2

Continuing from the last post, we arrive to Coimbra and we went to the “parque da queima”, it’s a place full of concerts, music and a lot of fun!

We woke up in the next day at 2 p.m. because it was the “cortejo”, it’s like a parade with allegoric cars, but each car represents a course. Each car has a lot of drinks, the most usual is beer, but they have a lot of other things, and it was all for free.

It was good, really good…

Queima das fitas

In Friday, 2 of May of 2008, me and a group of three friends, we went to Portugal for a few days of party and intense parties, in the commemoration of “Queima das Fitas”, a celebration of university students for all Portugal, from the north to the south.

Our arrive at Portugal started with a bottle of wine, and then we went to Viseu, where we saw the “Cortejo”, a lot of beer and instant friendships. That friends gave us a place to sleep and in the next days we’ll go to Coimbra, the most traditional city in this kind of celebration!

River episode

I wake up in hangover, and I’m in direction of the kitchen, i have to clean all the dishes and all the mess for the last night party!

Someone ring the bell, there are some friends, they hold a wine bottle and invite me to go the river. I don’t reject any invitation; I said that we need to buy beer, because what is better with sun, hot weather, river water and a group of good friends? Beer!

In the end of the day, with a lot of alcohol in the system, we saw a group of friends, who invited us to dinner in their house. The dinner was bread, sausages and mustard and obviously beer! A lot of night, a lot of laughs, a lot of talk, it was 8 a.m. when I arrive home, 20 hours after I get out of there!

Sunday, the Holy Day!

Sunday is always the most calm day in my life here… I get up, and my partners are waiting for me at the living room. We sit and we laugh – nobody has to say a word. Everybody remember an episode about a friend and some bets…

This day is mostly about an absence of noise, or thoughts. This is when the body stays still. As we call it – the Black Out. It’s like I’m sleeping on my feet with eyes wide opened.

Thursday, Lo Botallion!

10 a.m – Wake up! I know I’m late… Classes started 10 minutes ago… It looks like it’s going to be a kind of hard day… so… Why should I go??

12 o’clock – The alarm-clock is ringing… class is starting but I have to go…

12.05 p.m – I am already late, it’s unworthy to go… So, I pull a cigarette. There’s some unknown person sleeping in the couch. I talk to him and invite him for a beer – friends of my friends are my friends too!

1 p.m – Refrigerator – there’s no food… The Mexican guy went shopping for beer and probably forgot to bring some food… Well, there’s some fried chicken from the last week on the fridge. That would do. I am so hungry that it even reminds me my grandmother’s cooking!

2 p.m – I’ve got classes, so I go out. Look at the sky feeling the sunshine on my face… Put on my sun glasses, pull of a cigarette and say ‘hello’ to Elsa. I am ready to face the day!

5 p.m – Leaving classes, I go to an ATM. Need to buy some alcohol for the botallion. This time It’s better not to play smart and have money with me…I still have some bruises to remind me of the last time…

8 p.m – Living just got started. We’re five, sitting at the kitchen table. We’ve got food and we’ve got alcohol, and we’re absolutely sure that it is going to be a top night - at least the few parts we’ll be able to remember tomorrow!

Tuesday, How depressing!

I am holding a beer; there are aperitifs in front of me and a friend by my side. We make a toast every 5 minutes. The ideas on my mind are not pretty clear, and there’s a cigarette burning down on the ash tray. Damn it! I have to talk about my Erasmus experience… I can’t do it!

So, this is how my thoughts flow…”Today’s Tuesday!”, I barely can’t wait for Thursday! You can call it the routine if you want to… but to me, oh men! That’s the beginning of Life!

Routine?? Well, I fake a smile and think about that routine: I got a message with an invitation – there’s a dinner on Thursday! I take the last drop of my beer and look at my friend – he already knows that… Ending up his beer after me, he goes to the fridge and brings another two.
